The "B" of Loudenne, which consists of grapes from the bottom of the hills of Château Loudenne, is the Bordeaux AOC area close to the Médoc appellation. This wine is a subtle blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, offering fruity aromas, which add to the wine's freshness. It has the elegance and distinguished reputation of the wines of Château Loudenne.
This wine was aged in thermo-regulated inox and cement tanks lined with expoxy. Fermentation took three weeks. The wine was pumped over. Malolactic fermentation took place in inox vats, bringing a silky aspect with tannins and roundness.
"B" de Loudenne has a very fruity nose and is elegant. In the mouth, it is a fresh, easy drinking wine.
The year 2009 yielded an exceptional vintage thanks to climate conditions that were ideal since mid-July. We got hot weather but it was not scorching. As a result, we harvested beautiful Merlot and Cabernet varietals that reached perfect maturity after some light rain in mid-September. Harvest started in September and finished in November with sunny weather.
