92 Points "A vivid gold color distinguishes this grand wine at the first glance, and then lightly spicy aromas and a gorgeous combo of buttery and fruity flavors come forward. Generous flavors make it very compelling, while the texture that is at once lightly acidic and smooth completes the package."

92 Points "This attention-grabbing debut Chardonnay comes from a new sister winery to Roederer Estate in Mendocino County. It shows a vivid yellow-gold color, butterscotch and hazelnut aromas, butter and bosc pear flavors and tasty bread dough accents. Rich and full in flavor, it’s sleek in texture, but not too full-bodied."

Wine Review Online - Rich Cook - September 06, 2017

93 Points "This spicy Pinot Noir is the second annual offering for Domaine Anderson, sister winery to my favorite domestic sparkling wine producer Roederer Estate. As you'd expect, quality is high, with a complex mix of black cherry, fall spice and dry earth aromas that lead to a bright palate that delivers the promise of the nose over bright acidity, soft texture and medium-plus oak toast. The toast and spice come forward in the finish without covering the rich fruit, with everything mingling and lingering long. Winemaker Darrin Low is one to watch."

Wine Review Online - Michael Franz - July 18, 2017

93 Points "Confession: This bottle has been idling on my tasting runway for a couple of years, after being sent to me as a press sample that then got lost in the shuffle. Last night it finally got cleared for take-off, and it was fantastic. There's no doubt in my mind that it was more complex and integrated thanks to the additional aging it received, and more than 20 retailers around the USA are still selling this vintage, so "better late than never" really applies in this case. The wine shows lovely aromas with interwoven scents of dark cherry fruit and mushroom-y accents, and the flavors are even more complex. Almost all the wood notes are now integrated, and the tannins super soft but still sufficient to provide framing. $50 is the list price and also the one most commonly charged at the moment, and though the wine is easily worth that, some retailers are charging less than $40--which is a steal."

Wine & Spirits - Luke Sykora - February 01, 2015

91 Points YEAR'S BEST "This is the new inaugural release from a new winery founded by the Rouzaud family of Champagne Louis Roederer, a project that developed out of the family's long history in Anderson Valley via their Roederer Estate sparkling house. Jerry Murray, formerly of van Duzer, moved down from Oregon to manage the winemaking, working exclusively with the firm's estate vineyards. Reduced right now, it needs a vigorous decanting, but the fruit underneath feels healthy, shadowy and alluring, its generous texture pointed toward dark fruit, earth and a salty marine aroma that suggests a pairing with poached salmon."

Wine Enthusiast - Jim Gordon - December 01, 2014

91 Points "Complex and individualistic, this conveys a savory rather than fruity personality. Smoky, meaty aromas lead to spice-accented plum and berry flavors. It feels full-bodied but not hot, has a suave texture and lingering finish. The first vintage to be released from the new Roederer owned winery."
