Fleur du Cap

Sauvignon Blanc

2001

The grapes came mainly from vineyards in Stellenbosch and one vineyard in Malmesbury. Climate, soil, altitude and slope orientation are selected to capture as much varietal character as possible. Climate is mild with south and east-facing slopes offering natural protection against late-afternoon sun. Cool breezes from both Atlantic and Indian Oceans ensure rich, slow-growing crops. Soils are predominately medium textured and well -drained with good water holding capacity.

Winemaking

A powerful Sauvignon Blanc palate with lots of green pepper packed with tropical fruit.
The intense fruit palate dominated with tropical fruit will develop with maturation. This wine pairs well with fish and white meat or can be enjoyed on its own as a refreshing summer wine.
