2.5 stars (Good-Exce "Tastes like a village Burgundy with floral notes and heady perfume suggesting rose petals veiled over strawberries. Yet there are also earthy, wet clay hints, and tannins that grip all the way to the end. Made entirely from Pinot Noir, it's a winner, especially if you like a light bodied Burgundy with great maturity and balance."

Give this a few years in the cellar and serve it as you would a grand cru Chablis."

The zesty finish boasts impressive depth and length. I've had 20-year-old versions of this wine that were remarkably fresh and complex."

91 Points "This famous estate and its amazing Château de Nozet have become such fixtures in the world of wine that one could almost forget that it is also the source of some of the world’s best Sauvignon Blanc. If you’d hesitate to buy a Pouilly-Fumé from 2006 (which is indeed the current release), this is a bottle to buy especially for that reason, since the wine can teach a valuable lesson about the capacity of top Loire Sauvignons to acquire additional complexities with age while still remaining taut and fresh. In this instance the core of lemon/lime fruit is enhanced by lots of little nuances and a very prominent minerality in the finish. Highly detailed, this is an enduringly interesting drink that seems to unfold a new element with every successive sip."
