Régnard, one of the oldest and most prestigious houses in Chablis, was founded in 1860 by Zéphir Régnard. In 1984, Baron Patrick de Ladoucette purchased Régnard and has perpetuated the style and tradition of the wines ever since. As a result of a summery springtime, the vines started to flower exceptionally early this was followed by a very autumnal summer both fresh and capricious. The final maturing of the grapes was achieved under a lovely blue September sky. The red wines have an intense colour and a very fruity bouquet with a dense and balanced palate. The whites are chiselled, very expressive and pure.
The grapes are picked by hand followed by an alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in vats. The wine is then matured in vats followed by clarification before being bottled.
A dark red colour with violet highlights. An expressive bouquet full of the aromas of red fruit (raspberries and strawberries) accompanied by a small and agreeable vegetable point. The palate is agreeable and elegant with a frank attack accompanied by a light tangy note.
