Régnard, one of the oldest and most prestigious houses in Chablis, was founded in 1860 by Zéphir Régnard. In 1984, Baron Patrick de Ladoucette purchased Régnard and has perpetuated the style and tradition of the wines ever since. The Macon appellation consists of 43 villages. This controlled appellation covers about 1,937 acres devoted to producing excellent red wine. Yield is limited to 580 gallons per acre, which ensures the wine’s fruitiness.
The color is cherry red. The wine should be drunk young in order to appreciate the red fruit, black currant, raspberry and spicy notes. The wine is round and full due to a good tannin balance
