Dominus Estate Partners with MMD
MMD Announces New Partnership
OAKLAND, CALIF. - Maisons, Marques and Domaines USA, Inc. (MMD), the U.S. marketing company owned by Champagne Louis Roederer, Reims, France, has announced its representation of the renowned California red wine, Dominus Estate. Christian Moueix, owner of Dominus has confirmed that this move will be effective January 1, 2002.
In January, Dominus Estate, formerly represented by Seagram Chateau & Estates Wine Company, will launch with MMD the 1999 vintage of Napanook, Dominus’ sister label, followed by the 1999 Dominus in May, 2002.
Christian Moueix commented, “Our two companies complement each other well because we have such similar business philosophies. I am convinced that we will be extremely well represented with Dominus being the only Napa Valley red wine in the MMD portfolio. As a result, I believe this partnership will prove to be greatly beneficial to both parties.”
Gregory Balogh, vice-president and chief operating officer of MMD, stated, “Although we represent many prestige brands, we have always wanted to handle a well known property from Napa Valley. We are delighted and honored with this opportunity to represent Dominus Estate as it fills an important niche and further emphasizes our focus on the luxury segment.”
Maisons, Marques & Domaines, USA was founded in 1987 as the marketing company for Champagne Louis Roederer and Roederer Estate.
