There’s no bombast at all -- the rare Napa Cabernet that seems intent on discretion -- but this expands easily in the glass while gulping air. Patience will be rewarded. The 2024 Sauvignon is spicy from the first tilt of the glass as exotic citrus and melon tones mix with dusty sage and spice. It's soft and supple, with mineral-laced orchard fruits offset by a candied citrus tinge toward the close. The finish is incredibly fresh and perfumed, leaving nuances of basil and a salty resonance that lingers long. This beautiful Sauvignon impresses with its grace and refinement.

The 2024 Friulano opens with crushed yellow apples, peaches, white smoke and sage in the glass. It is silken and pliant on the palate, with a pretty inner sweetness and ripe pit fruits offset by a subtle tropical inflection of green melon toward the close. It tapers off with a sour citrus twang that forces the senses to salivate as a saline note lingers.
