The complex 2023 Côte-Rôtie La Landonne opens with pronounced black plum, stone dust, lightly perfumed cedar and tints of violets. Wrapped around fine-grained tannins, the 2023 is a medium-bodied and focused La Landonne, checking out with vivid lift and precision on the lean finish.

The 2023 Othello is a blend of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple in color, it springs from the glass with vibrant notes of red currants and fresh blackberries, giving way to hints of bay leaves, pencil lead, and mossy tree bark. The full-bodied palate is bursting with bold red and black berry flavors, framed by a racy line and plush tannins, finishing long and savory. Delicious.

Sourced from the estate's four distinct terroirs, this is a very classy cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot. Coffee bean, cedarwood and fresh herb aromas segue into a palate that has good density and concentration, bramble, plum, and dark berry fruit, a top note of graphite and nuanced tannins. Drink: 2026 - 2035. 

The 2023 Condrieu Clos Boucher ushers in notes of gently ripe apricot, white peach, lemon flesh and apple skin inflections. Medium-bodied, crisp and fresh, the 2023 checks out with sleek phenolic bitterness on the nuanced finish.

The 2023 Chardonnay Olivet Lane Vineyard is gorgeous. Rich, creamy and expansive, the Olivet Lane offers up an attractive mix of orchard fruit, white flowers, tangerine peel and white pepper. The combination of fruit presence and energy is compelling. This is the essence of the Russian River in a cold year.
