“The 2017 Hosanna was one of my favourite crus from Ets J-P Moueix from barrel. Now in bottle, it remains a delightful Pomerol. It has a generous and beautifully defined bouquet with ample red cherry, crushed strawberry and light black truffle aromas that are actually reminiscent of Bélair-Monange. The palate is medium-bodied but denser, thicker than its peers. There is real substance to this Hosanna that puts the relatively lightweight Certan-de-May in its place. It shows good grip with a saline finish. This is a deeply impressive Hosanna. Rejoice!”

“Very attractive aromas of violets, purple cherries and plums with notes of chocolate, cedar and baking spices. The palate has a fullish feel with very concentrated, ripe dark plums, wrapped in super long, silky tannins. Quite a deep, flavorful finish, holding long and fresh. Try from 2023.”

“A richly dense wine with big tannins, this is exuberant and packed with impressive fruit from an 11-acre estate. It offers structure and density along with good acidity, giving a rich wine that has great potential. Drink from 2024.”

“Such a polished wine from the outset. This has a very deep thread of dark plums, black stones and dark cocoa powder, running from nose to palate. The finish is swathed in rich and plush tannins and delivers profound depth with unblemished fruit purity. Stunning Pomerol. Try from 2023.”

“The 2016 Hosanna is a big, powerful wine. Far more introverted and brooding than it was en primeur, Hosanna gives the impression of a wine that is going to need quite a bit of time to fully recover from bottling. Today, the fruit is a bit muted, although the wine's power, depth and overall structure are very much present. Mocha, espresso, grilled herbs and leather build into the dark, somber finish.”
