Sourced from vineyards ranging in elevation from 500 to 1,000 feet, some reaching an incline grade of 60%, this Syrah represents the northernmost reaches of the Rhône Valley. Mouth-filling notes of chocolate, cherry, rose, petal, and sweetmeats are lusciously seasoned by cinnamon, clove, and dusty minerality. Subdued white pepper makes way for those cherished violets to bloom. Aged 18 months in (20% new) oak.

Concentrated and earthy, with black tea and plum blossoms riding along on silky tannins. Tobacco, dried lavender, and persimmon create a complex network of flavors.

Focused and tense, with floral refinement and racy acidity. Plum and cherry notes are accented by white pepper and sandalwood. Umami notes settle on the finish with a pleasing salinity.

Pouring a bright ruby red color, the 2023 Pinot Noir Olivet Lane is minty and fresh, with notes of cinnamon, pomegranate, lifted spice, and clove. Medium-bodied, it has refreshing, bright citrus tones on the palate, with orange zest, supple underlying texture, and delicate incense notes. It’s a bit nervous today but should open up nicely over the next six months or so. Drink 2026-2036.
