The dynamic and enthusiastic Tammy Claasen owes her passion for wine to growing up at the foothills of the Helderberg in Stellenbosch.

Tammy spent an idyllic childhood on a fruit farm, now wine farm, and from a young age knew she wanted to pursue a career in agriculture. In high schoo, a career day introduced her to the fascinating world of wine. She shadowed her father in the trade shortly after he entered the wine industry, and was instantly hooked!

Her approach to winemaking is minimal intervention, guided by the quality of the fruit, and using old and new blended techniques in crafting exceptional wines. She thoroughly enjoys the versatility of working with Shiraz grapes and spent a few harvests at one of the top Shiraz producers in the world where her affinity for this varietal was sparked.
