Fermented with 20% stems, the 2022 Saint Joseph Francois De Tournon brings another level of everything. Red and black fruits, graphite, smoke, and crushed stone all define the aromatics, and this beauty is medium to full-bodied, has a layered, ripe, seamless mouthfeel, and building yet fine tannins. Drink 2025-2035.

The 2022 Crozes-Hermitage Le Clos is a solid step up and has a perfumed, ripe, floral, singular style. Red and black berries, black licorice, flowers, leather, and some meaty nuances all define the aromatics, and it's another sun-kissed yet elegant, balanced effort. It has plenty of tannins and should age for a solid 10-15 years. Drink 2025-2040.

This stunning Hermitage is simultaneously expansive and graceful with a very wide spectrum of red-fruit aromas and very fine tannins. Also floral, wet-stone and graphite character. It would be hard not to love this for the wonderful harmony on the front- and mid-palates alone, then comes the fleshy yet structured finish that pulls you back for more. Matured only in oak casks, of which about 20% were new. Drink from release.

How can a wine as powerful and concentrated as a great Hermitage have this mind-blowing finesse? The stony and wind-swept nature of this vineyard site is precisely reflected in this masterpiece of purity, delicacy and wild herb freshness. It’s hard to put all this into words, most of all the extraordinary mineral energy in the almost endless finish. From a vineyard site with up to 320 meters altitude. Drink from release.

How can you resist the deep nose of wild herbs and forest berries with a whiff of autumn bonfire smoke? With aeration the peppery character of syrah expands. The generosity of fruit and the finesse of the tannins on the very focused palate are balanced by a wonderful youthful freshness. Long, graceful finish. From vineyards in the historical heart of this appellation. 20% whole-cluster fermentation. Drink or hold.
