“These energetic bubbles deserve respect for fighting through the wine's viscosity to help deliver rich apricot jam and peach sorbet aromas that are to die for. Peaches and apricots return on the palate, spotlighted by a nice amount of acidity. Break out the foie gras—this sparkling ice wine is ready to party.”

Wow! This ice wine's strawberry gelato and quince paste aromas are a perfect sweet and tart one-two punch. Then there are the rich, thick flavors of strawberry-rhubarb crumble and guava—as good as any dessert. I may have to try this with a piece of bittersweet chocolate.

This newly released AVA expression features grapes from vineyards located in the warmer Boonville area, from organic sources in Philo and from the cool Deep End, making them true reflections of the primary grape-growing zones of the Anderson Valley. Bristling with white-peppered cranberries, Italian herbs, cherry pipe tobacco, and sweet soil. Acidity is racy, lifting pomegranate, red licorice, and forest floor to a high pedestal of intensity.

A serious Côtes du Rhône. Full forest berry fruit with delicate spice, bitter chocolate and licorice notes. Impressive depth and some real structure on the full-bodied palate. I love the way the generous, rather fine tannins carry the long, spicy and fresh finish. A cuvée based on 60% grenache, mostly from the Vaucluse region, with about 30% syrah from the Gard and small amounts of mourvèdre and other traditional grape varieties. Drink or hold.
