Complex and rich wine, with great grit. Both on the nose and on the mouth, it is intense and harmonious, characterized by a crunchy fruit, with well-integrated acidic notes and hints of officinal herbs. The wine also has a remarkable tannic quality.

Campo del Drago 2017 is surprisingly fresh on the nose with floral and citrus notes. The perfectly completed phenolic maturity is distinguished in the mouth, with a tense and long finish. The wine has no bitter notes, typical of the 2017 vintage.

Campo del Drago 2018 is linked to its terroir, showing unique minerality and complexity. The palate is intense, broad and deep. The tannins are present, but remain elegant thanks to the acidity. The sour almond finish on the mouth is the evidence of how characterizing the vintage was for the Sangiovese grape. 

Campo del Drago 2019 is an austere wine with great personality. Spicy notes of juniper and black pepper combine with fresh notes of mint and bitter orange. The sip is deep and enveloping, supported by ripe and complex tannins. The long, lingering finish anticipates the longevity that the wine will be able to sustain in the bottle.

The aromatic details of this wine say a lot about the 2020 vintage climate. The wine is lemon with greenish reflections, the nose expresses beautiful floral notes enhanced with constant references of citrus fruit, such as grapefruit and orange peel. The good acidity, combined with a light sapidity and a strong minerality, embody the possibility of evolution of this wine. It is characterized by a marked freshness and great fragrance. The mouth is tense and vibrant, supported by a pleasant citric acidity.
