April 2026 98 Points Decanter

This smells divine, lovely lush blackcurrant and black cherry characters on the nose with pencil led, graphite, liquorice and menthol elements - very Pauillac on the nose. Gorgeous weight, supple and agile, great movement and energy to this. Acidity makes this buzzy, tangy and bright but not over the top, this keeps its structure and retains a serious directness from start to finish. Generous licks of minerality adds some cool classicism to it. Sleek and refined, precise and very drinkable. One of a number of brilliant Pauillac wines in 2023. Winemaker Nicolas Glumineau wants it to be racy and it’s certainly racy. 50% grand vin production, 50% second. 3.67pH, 14.7% press wine only Cabernet. Ageing 19 months, 60-65% new oak and then one wine barrels.

This shows aromas of mushroom, sandalwood, cedar and a subtle touch of ash. Medium- to full-bodied, it combines concentration and depth with polished tannins and an expressive core of fruit. It is expressive and broad. This is approachable now, but will benefit from extra time in the bottle. Drink or hold.

This shows a concentrated nose of plums, subtle game and hints of rust and dried flowers. On the palate it’s medium- to full-bodied, with evenly distributed flesh and a voluminous structure, yet it remains well balanced, supported by polished, silky tannins. The finish is long and concentrated, and while it can be enjoyed now, it has the structure to benefit from further aging. It should be decanted in advance. Drink or hold.

This is expressive, with aromas of dried flowers, eucalyptus and hints of smoke and violets. Medium- to full-bodied, it shows balance and completeness, with all elements in harmony. There is depth of fruit, length, and a seamless structure. The finish is elegant and ethereal, supported by concentration and precise, finely polished tannins. 81% tempranillo and 19% mazuelo. Already approachable, but it will continue to age gracefully. Drink or hold.

This is at a beautiful stage of evolution, showing aromas of dried flowers, bark, red berries and hints of tar and tea. It has an exceptionally elegant profile with a modern touch. The fruit is ethereal, the tannins finely etched and precise. The wine is crystalline, with purity and elegance that define its style. It is a blend of 84% tempranillo and 16% mazuelo. Aged for 26 months in French and American oak and a further 13 months in concrete. Approachable now, but will continue to evolve favorably. Drink or hold.
