August 2026 100 Points, (Magnum) JamesSuckling.com
This is perfect. Aromas of bread dough, pie crust, dried lemons, apricots, flint, French toast and caramel. Medium- to full-bodied with spices, iodine, oysters and similar flavors on the palate. Endless and seamless. I remember tasting it on release, and it’s softening and giving a caressing mouthfeel after being so structured. A late release of this glorious wine in magnum. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.

This is pure and saturated with peach, apricot, candied apple and baking spice flavors. Bracing acidity keeps it all focused and guides the laserlike aftertaste. Drink now through 2038.

The fruit expression exudes black currant and cassis, accented by coffee and clove. Juicy and sweet, it's defined by vivid acidity, ending with a blackberry candy element. Excellent drive and length. Drink now through 2036.

Pungent and concentrated, yet never thick or heavy, this sweet white exudes apricot, caramel, orange peel and floral notes. It glides across the palate, courtesy of racy acidity, while the finish goes on for a minute or more. Drink now through 2038.

Though reserved in persona, this offers a deep well of red and black currant preserves laced with tobacco, loam, warm paving stone and savory notes that lend energy and cut. A singed alder frame guides the finish, which shows the succulence of the vintage despite being buried deeply. There’s no bombast at all -- the rare Napa Cabernet that seems intent on discretion -- but this expands easily in the glass while gulping air. Patience will be rewarded. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Best from 2030 through 2048.
