“Just mid ruby. Perfumed but shy nose with hints of stones. Supple, suave and elegant and with a full aromatic spread on the palate. Great polish and shine. Fantastic crunchy tannins. A real beauty.”

“Still a bit reserved, this red nonetheless reveals ample black currant and blackberry fruit flavors set against earth, sanguine and woody, resinous accents. Dense tannins leave a chewy finish. Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese. Best from 2024 through 2040.”

“Subtle aromas and flavors of vanilla, butterscotch and baking spices frame the core of peach and baked apple in this creamy white. Verges on tropical fruit, remaining intense and long, offering fine balance and a spicy, salty aftertaste. Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc. Drink now through 2026.”

“2018 was the opposite of the 2017 vintage. It was cool and fresh with more rainfall and has produced this textbook Batàr. Bright green-gold, it's lightly fragrant with orange blossom and neroli notes leading to a very juicy palate. The flavours are full of salty juiciness with exotic fruit, cream and orange rind notes. This is still very young and tightly wound, not yet expressing its full potential - but that potential is great.”

“The 2019 Batàr, 50% Chardonnay/50% Pinot Blanc, offers up an exotic mélange of tangerine peel, pineapple, spice and passionfruit. The move towards a more refined style here has paid off big-time.”
