“Plenty of sweet berry and cherry character with hints of stone and fresh mushrooms. Chocolate, too. It’s medium-bodied with a solid core of fruit and a chewy yet refined texture. Flavorful finish. Solid and very integrated. From organically grown grapes. Vegan. Drink or hold.”

“Fresh tobacco and berries come through on the nose. Some slate, too. It’s full-bodied with very well-integrated tannins that flow across the palate. Fresh and vivid merlot. Chewy. From organically grown grapes. Vegan. Needs some time. Drink in 2023 and onwards.”

“Mid straw colour. Restrained nose with some sweetness but not obvious alcohol – so not like California Chardonnay! Almondy – a bit like Corton-Charlemagne. Not as savoury as Bâtard-Montrachet! Though it does have weight.”

“This red shows some depth to the black cherry, black currant, iron and tobacco aromas and flavors. There is a hint of tar, and the firm structure is well-integrated. Drink now through 2032.”

“This is a finely streamlined wine that emphasizes freshness and linearity despite the more robust fruit profile so easily obtained in this warm and sunny vintage. Made with organic fruit, the Querciabella 2015 Camartina is a blend of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with a smaller part Sangiovese. That this wine is so elegantly subdued comes as an unexpected and appreciated surprise, especially if you plan a meat pairing with fragrant herbs such as wild sage or rosemary.”
