A seductive core of red fruit is flanked by cigar box and pepper on a silky palate amply dusted in graphite, cured meat and sandalwood smoke. Simmers with inner density and energy yet manages to stay light on its feet as this stretches on and on. Harmonious and seamless. Drink now through 2030.

Made from estate-grown, certified organic vineyards, including three single-vineyard designates (Navarro-Fairhills, Walraven, and Dach), the 2021 Chardonnay Estate is a light-bodied white that is tangy in acidity and fresh citrus notes, expertly showcasing both the cool-climate region and coolness of the vintage, one of the earliest harvests on record in the Anderson Valley. Meyer lemon and a twist of lime highlight the aromatic profile, with more lemon developing on the palate as a nice complement to the green and Golden Delicious apple flavors. Fresh, focused and crisp, this is a food-friendly wine that should age another 8-10 years.

Winemaker Darrin Low blends Pinot from two estate vineyards, 83% from Dach and 17% from Walraven, to make the 2021 Pinot Noir Estate, which is nicely perfumed in rose and lavender. Balanced between sweet summer strawberry, blackberry, and raspberry flavors, it offers a hint of baking spice and earthy forest floor around a core of soft, supple tannins and a lengthy finish. The acidity is ample enough to support aging for another 8-10 years.

Made from 55% Chardonnay and 45% Pinot Noir, the NV Rose is lovely in color and style, tasting of richly rewarding berry fruit and shortbread cookie. Rounded, creamy, and approachable in style, it will please a wide range of palates and stay fresh in the bottle for 5-8 years. Dosage is 8.5 grams per liter.

Winemaker Jeffrey Jinda uses a solera-like system of fractional blending to make the NV Brut Excellence, typically adding 12 percent of reserve wine to his non-vintage blends, this one a combination of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir. A portion of the reserve wine is used again in the dosage after disgorgement. Given 24 months on the lees, it shows an impressive depth of texture and balanced richness, with lovely notes of creme caramel and brioche. It should age well over the next 5-8 years. Dosage is 8.5 grams per liter.
