Mostly from the Saint-Pierre lieu-dit but with some Reynard and Champelrose fruit as well, the 2022 Cornas Chante-Perdrix is a pure, elegant, medium-bodied Cornas that has ample sun-kissed red and black fruits, leafy herbs, pepper, and graphite aromatics, fine yet building tannins, and a great finish. This cuvée always shines more for its complexity and elegance than sheer power, yet it still brings rock-solid concentration and depth. Drink 2025-2037.

A bright red color, the 2021 Barbaresco Pio is focused, spicy, and pure on the palate. Coming mostly from Treiso, it offers notes of wild raspberries, clove spice, dried orange peel, and dried earth. Medium-bodied, it exhibits good linear tension and structured tannins, with a deeper structure derived from the Treiso soils, which are more akin to those of Barolo and will require time to soften. Drink 2025-2040.

From Chardonnay planted in 1979, the 2024 Langhe Chardonnay L'Altro includes the small addition of 5% Sauvignon Blanc, and is a brilliant silver/yellow hue. The nose is attractive and fresh, with notes of fresh flowers, linen, pear, and quince. Medium-bodied, it’s a fresh style with a springy lift, a refreshing feel, and zesty appeal. Drink it over the next 3-5 years.

The 2024 Gavi is a pale silver/straw color and is lifted and fresh on the nose with both floral and savory aromas. Vinified and aged only in stainless steel without oak, it opens to notes of pithy lemon, fresh flowers, green melon, and fresh tarragon. Medium-bodied and snappy on the palate, it has a crisp, refreshing feel and is a versatile wine for the table that will be very well-suited to snappy green salads. Enjoy it over the next several years.

A youthful magenta color, the 2023 Barbera D'Alba is fresh and fruity. This vintage was released at the end of 2024 and is the blend of more than 10 different locations in the Barolo and Barbaresco region as well as from villages outside the appellation. The nose is fresh with notes of ripe cherries, candied flowers, delicate baking spice, and just hint of turned earth. It’s medium-bodied and has snappy freshness, with a plush texture and a hint of savory earth notes, making this a very food-friendly wine, perfect for pasta nights and pizza. Drink over the coming 4-5 years.
